A Message from Our Principal

Greetings Hawk Families and Community,

I am excited to begin our new year together and look forward to working with you and your student(s). We are excited to continue growing our productive student learning partnerships with you. Our theme as a district for the year is “Building Tomorrow Together.” We know continued student success is building up partnerships and collaboration to ensure they have the safety and support to grow. This aligns with EV’s new vision: Support, Overcome, Achieve and Reflect—SOAR. We are committed to being collaborative partners in the development of learning, education, and overall growth for all students. To foster this support, we will ask families to ensure:

  1. Students regularly attend school, on time and ready for the day’s learning.
  2. Students are aware we are partners in their growth and educational experience.
  3. Students share growth on their goals and classwork in StudentVue to make connections and in tracking success and areas of support needed.
  4. Parents can log in and use ParentVue to be able to see their student’s teacher, update any important information for the year, register to ride the bus, and review academic progress.
  5. Students share needs to allow for supports needed both with academics and behaviorally.

In addition to these items, working with students to have them read daily will assist in building and strengthening literacy skills. If you have any questions about campus expectations, please feel free to connect with your child’s teacher for initial support. We want to ensure clear communication and alignment with our families on appropriate behavior to ensure a warm, safe, and supportive learning environment—with safety being our priority. School start and end times:

  • Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 8:45 a.m. to begin the instructional day.
  • Regular release times are 3:45 p.m. and early release is 1:25 p.m.
